Apple 服務「大停機」半日　股價跌 2%、損失 2,420 萬美元

雖然大型科技企業的服務大多以穩健的基礎架構與可靠的服務質素見稱，但凡事都會有例外的情況。Apple 的多項網上服務在香港時間今凌晨就曾一度因故障而大規模停機，時間更長達 12 小時，令股價跌 2%，即損失 2,420 萬美元。

在美國當地時間 3 月 11 日下午 5 時起，陸續有 Apple 用戶於網路上表示，App Store 與 iTunes Store 不斷出現連接錯誤，而其他需要用到 Apple 伺服器的服務如 iBooks、iCloud Mail 隨後亦無法如常連接。上述情況維持近 12 小時後才被完全修復，所有服務於 12 日清晨 4 點半左右陸續恢復正常。

是次影響全球 Apple 用戶的「大停機」為由於公司內部的 DNS 錯誤所致；Apple 隨後透過 CNBC 向所有用戶發出道歉聲明。

“We apologize to our customers experiencing problems with iTunes and other services this morning. The cause was an internal DNS error at Apple,” the Cupertino idiot-tax operation’s press team explained.

“We’re working to make all of the services available to customers as soon as possible, and we thank everyone for their patience.”
